Ana Reyes-Gonzalez

Ana was born in a small town called Las Pilas of Puruagua Guanajuato, Mexico. She comes from a humble but honest and hardworking family. As a young teenager she had to work to help her family and for a while she was in Mexico City then later moved to Guadalajara Jalisco with very dear Aunt Anguie and Uncle Cristobal, eventually moving to Florida where she has spent most of her life. Her favorite hobbies are cooking and spending time with her children and her Pato. Ana feels blessed to have family, good friends, a nice home and all the things she dreamed of as a child.

From friendship, to love. A little bit about us…

First meet

Summer 2011

Fate brought them together. One day Ana’s daughter accidently deleted all of their family pictures off of the computer. She ran around to the neighbor Sue’s house crying in panic. To the rescue, Sue knew ‘a computer guy’. That guy was Dock. Took a week to recover the pictures, and Dock became a regular at the house whenever the kids broke the computer again. Seemed like they did it on purpose just to see the British guy. Over the years he became part of the family, and he and Ana became close friends. Countless parties, holidays, and even fake BBQs (ask her). Perhaps it wasn’t only the kids making excuses to see the British guy.

First date

25th Jan 2024

Was it a date? Or wasn’t it? That has been the fun argument between Ana and her Pato to this day. A casual offer of dinner at Duffy’s restaurant turned into a romantic event. Ana insists it was a meal between friends, despite a ton of makeup, dolled hair and a nice outfit. Even her kids yelled “Mom is going out on a date with Dock!!” in happy shock when they saw her greet him at the door. Two burgers, lots of talking and smiling, plus the occasional compliment. “Muy guapo” she said while chewing a french fry and staring into his eyes. But was it really a date? You decide.

The Grinch

12th Dec 2024

As an early Christmas treat, Dock took Ana to Universal Studios to watch the parade. Walking through the park they spotted The Grinch doing meets. The line was HUGE but Ana insisted it was worth the wait. Two hours later, they met the green fellow, and Ana said she wanted a diamond ring from Kay for Xmas. The Grinch was in an oddly good mood and asked Dock about his intentions? The 3-minute meet extended to 10 when Senor Grinch decided today was wedding day! He performed the whole ceremony with vows and all the whos in Whoville to witness. It was a once-in-a-lifetime thing. The wonderful day ended with a Chayanne concert which Ana thought was going to be Snoopy on Ice. Tricked!

Proposal

10th Feb 2025

After the trip to Universal, all that was missing was a ring. The proposal had been kind of skipped over by the ceremony in Whoville. So, by order of The Grinch, Dock waited patiently until their 1st anniversary to surprise his bride. She thought it was going to be one of their usual dates, with ice cream from Kilwin’s and a walk along the waterfront in downtown Stuart. But a plan had been schemed. Sitting on the bench where they first held hands, her children walked towards them from all directions, with the ring box in hand. Ana was in shock as Dock read a poem he had written, then got down on one knee and offered the ring. Stunned and in tears, Ana replied “What I do now?” Thankfully she accepted the ring. Happily ever after. So next comes the real wedding…
